Sliding Screen Door

Welcome to our sliding screen door site.
Mosquitoes have existed since time immemorial and though they serve no beneficial purpose to man (than to maintain the ecological cycle that supports Mother Nature which is basically the environment in which he lives, ecologists would argue), they linger here on earth just because they do…and there’s not much to be done about it. Well, not until man found a way to get them to stay safely out of his residential premises, taking away from them the temptation of sucking his blood while he goes about his daily chores, taking away from them the possibility of passing on a life-threatening disease to him such as malaria or dengue fever. How has man done that? No, not mosquito repellant lotions and sprays (although those do help even if you’re outdoors), but the sliding screen door.
A screen door is a screen door—it allows you to view what is going on outside your house even with it completely closed and more importantly, it keeps out cats, dogs, and other animals, insects like mosquitoes included, that may suddenly stray inside your home if you but leave your door open for a minute—and it doesn’t have to be sliding. But if you could get the best of both worlds, then why not a sliding screen door, right? It saves space, because you don’t have to leave room in the immediate vicinity of the doorway for the door to move to when you swing it open. You can put that beautiful decorative table you bought at an antique shop and place it beside the door—when you open your screen door you don’t have to worry about hitting the table because it slides smoothly behind it. Now you have the advantage of having your house mosquito-free, and keeping it clean as well by preventing leaves from blowing in especially during fall, all while you have your main door open!
If you don’t already have a sliding door, you can always call in your local neighborhood carpenter or repairman or even do it yourself if you’re the do-it-yourself kind of person. Removing your current screen door is pretty easy, as well as installing it and repairing whatever needs to be repaired around it to get everything looking as fine and dandy as before—but now of course with the addition of that new handsome sliding screen door. Care of the door must be observed as there will be adjustments to having it in your house. You might forget you now have a sliding door and keep tugging at it to open it. Kids may get hurt trying to shove it open. But after some time surely you will all get the hang of it and just enjoy the benefits of having such a door at home. It will keep the pesky pets at bay, but will let you enjoy the view of the outdoors, even the warm summer breeze or chilly autumn air that blows through and can now circulate around your home.
